Northwest Oklahoma is home to the states largest whitetails. Located near the Kansas border, this outfitter's ranches
are the best in the area. Rifle season is scheduled during the peak of the rut when the bucks are on the move, which
makes for an exciting hunt with a lot of action. Their terrain is very diverse, varying from river country to CRP fields to
rough canyons. Hunters are positioned overlooking rugged canyon country and thick river bottom openings, all which
are funnels between feeding and bedding areas. This hunt offers very good chances at 120-140 B&C bucks and they've taken several 170+ bucks on past hunts. Your licenses can be ordered over the phone at (800) 223-3333 or log onto
Oklahoma Wildlife Department and receive your license over the internet using a credit card.
Don’t overlook their muzzleloader season in Oklahoma. Northwest Oklahoma is home to the states largest bucks and many bruisers
are taken each year during this time. Their terrain varies from thick
river bottoms to large canyon country with dense cedar draws. This
is a transitional time of the year for the bucks. This hunt is done at
the start of the rut when the mature bucks become very active and begin harassing does. Muzzleloading stands are positioned near feeding and bedding areas within 100 yards of their primary travel routes. Their best buck to date scored *204 7/8* B&C. They highly recommend this hunt. Hunters can order their license and tag over
the phone at (800) 223-3333 or go online to the Oklahoma wildlife department and receive it directly over the internet.
The Oklahoma muzzleloader hunt is definitely a "sleeper". It has produced numerous 150 bucks over the years. They will monitor dozens of trail-cams on 22,000 acres prior to the Muzzleloader opener. The rut is still a couple weeks away, so the bucks are still very patternable. Most years this hunt will run 100% successful.
